I am glad to say that I have started to slowly get back in the groove of working again after surgery. Recovery has been a lot harder and longer than I anticipatedâŠapparently I am NOT Superwoman, unlike what my ego thought *pffft*. đ
Unfortunately, my body didnât like surgery too much so there have been a few complications, BUT the artificial disc is firmly planted and will help me to be one step closer to being bionic. *haha*Â We are hoping the other side effects start to dissipate soon, however it might take a few (4-6) more months until I am back to a newer version of my old self. I have been so blessed with an amazing group of doctors, nurses, family and friends and am extremely thankful for their talents, knowledge and love.
Now I just have to come up with a cool excuse for the scar on my neck. I am thinking of something along the lines of defending myself against ninja gummy bears. That sounds realistic, right?? Another contender is a ârandom stabbing by a grumpy unicornâ. đ
On a serious note, please make sure if you are ever hauling something in a vehicle, that it is properly strapped and secured. Unfortunately my life and the lives of my family members, drastically changed in September 2016 and they never should have.
I canât wait to see everyoneâs beautiful faces in front of my camera again!
Octopus hugs,
Jenn
