I think at every point in a little girl’s life, they wish to be a ballerina. I know I did. I begged and begged my mother for dance classes for weeks before she finally obliged. I wanted to be a ballerina; to dress like one and frolic through the air. However, I didn’t realize that meant taking long classes and listening to directions. Needless to say I lasted two weeks. 😉
I had the pleasure of photographing the birthday party of my dear friend’s daughter. She is every bit of a ballerina. Sweet, proper, well-behaved and just an absolute doll. She has been dancing since a wee little babe and wanted a “Ballerina Birthday” party. She helped her mother make the party favors and the decor. Everything was positively pink and oh-so adorable. They even had a real ballerina teach all of the girls a little routine for the parents!
