Every year I look forward to photographing these two beautiful souls. This mother and daughter team are incredibly unique because they share the same birthday! Each year we discuss the theme of their photo session and then they allow me to use my imagination to come up with a session around it. This year, Caroline and Jill decided they wanted to be detectives, a la Carmen San Diego.
At first, I was a little stumped. How could I portray detectives and the idea of a birthday, all in one session?
I came up with a storyline of these adorable private eyes that were hot on the trail of some celebratory clues. Each clue lead them closer to solving the case of 37 & 7; the ages they will be turning. From confetti, to streamers and balloons, they found each clue and celebrated by morphing into their party dresses and having a fun time dancing in the town center.
I love Jill and Caroline’s tradition of birthday photos. I always look forward to their fun ideas and am looking forward to next year’s session!
