It would be so much easier to think if the little dashy line wasn’t blinking on my monitor. Staring at me, seemingly singing the tune of Jeopardy, “bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, hurr-rry up and write some-some-some-thhhinn-niinng”.

My name is Jennifer, or as many of my family and friends call me, “Jenn”. I’m a Florida girl, born and raised, and am a product from the 80’s (which my daughter referred to as “old days from a long, long, long time ago” in a recent conversation with her younger brother). Growing up, there were generally about 3-4 other Jennifers in each class so in order to separate myself from the others, I went by “Jenny”….that is, until Forest Gump. After hearing countless Forest Gump and Jenny jokes (ie: ” RUN, FOREST, RUN!!”), I quickly changed my name to Jenn. Edgier than “Jen”, I thought I was being so unique when I added that extra “n” in there. 😉
I am an extremely sarcastic person, who is ironically, very peppy and goofy. I always try to find the positive in situations and laugh off the little things.
Having a crush on him since I was 11, I checked off one of my dreams when I married my husband 7 years ago. He was one of my brother’s best friends growing up and even escorted me to my senior prom. I’m so thankful for him and am proud of his endless accomplishments.
This was my senior prom. Check out that horrible tan… “Thanks 18 yr old Jenn! I’m sure I’ll be paying for that in wrinkle cream!” *stupid, silly, girl*
Literally, my son kicking my poor little princess in the face during our family session with the super talented and sweet Cassandra from Artful Adventures Photography
I’m a mommy of two wonderful, spontaneous little creatures characters who are the light of my life. A little girl and a little boy, I feel like the luckiest mom in the world…even on the days when I want to lock myself in the laundry room with a bottle of wine and bag of chocolates.
Speed-Round
– I am extremely outgoing & spontaneous although I live by my calendar and lists/post-it notes.
-I love William Shakespeare, Mel Brooks, and Robin Williams (RIP).
– I love to read.
– I once was quite brilliant before my children turned my brain to mush.
-I overuse emoticons and think each sentence deserves a smiley face. You have NO IDEA how hard it is to not put a smiley face after each thought.
– I grew up in my grandfather’s Volkswagen shop and my father’s bar which has contributed to my fluency in cursing, although I try my hardest to be a “lady” in public. 🙂 <—-Gah, see??
– In college, after I broke my humeral head and could no longer wait tables, I was a commissioned artist who painted landscapes and drew charcoal portraits.
– My parents met during the 70’s in the Miami music industry. My father is a talented musician who can honestly play any instrument out there (which my brother inherited) and my mother has a voice like none-other (harmonizing with her and my brother was one of my favorite pastimes). Growing up, my house was full of music (and still is).
-Although I jokingly state that “I need a drink”, I typically don’t ever drink because I get horrible migraines.
– I am pretty sure I was the Cookie Monster in a past life. My unquenchable desire for chocolate chip cookies and Oreos is quite impressive/repulsive. ;D
– I sew really well and have designed/executed hundreds of outfits & dresses over the last ten years.
– Once upon a time, I was going to be a Pediatric Oncologist.
– I loved acting, singing, and dancing while I was growing up (still do) and dreamt of one day starring in a Broadway musical.

Jenn
You are awesome, gorgeous and way humorous 😉 love ya!!!
Thank you, sweetpea!! You are too kind! Love you too! 🙂
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed reading this blog!!! I think I was actually singing the words in the end (especially after the mention of “harmonies”). What a contagious optimism and zest for life you carry “Jenn” (because Jen would be boring – LOL). Thank you for sharing your thoughts – it completely lightened my day!!!
LOL!! I literally almost choked on my coffee (yes, it’s night time and I’m still drinking my coffee- I think that’s a crime in some countries) on the “Jen would be boring”. You are too sweet! Thank you, so very much, Nikki!
This is great! My husband and I went to prom together too and our dresses look very similar!
That is too funny! I always referred to it as my “Cinderella” dress. 😉 It’s actually still in my closet. My daughter has forbid me to get rid of it because she wants to wear it one day.
I am pretty stoked that I know you and that I am blessed enough to have you in my life
Well, I just think it’s wicked awesome that you’re my BESTIE!. *muhahahaha* xoxoxo
Jennn (with 3 n’s for super-duper edginess). You, my deay girl were born to write AND to take pictures. I am an artist too so I loved learning that about you. Among many other wonderful traits, you are unashamedly “you” and own everything from the good stuff to the cursing and because you own it, it’s fun! This was a wonderful “About You” post and I smiled the entire read. Great read!
LOL!! I LOVE IT! “Jennn”! I’m going to tell people to hold out the “n” sound. 😉
Thank you so much for the lovely compliments. You must know, I absolutely adore you! 🙂
I love your blog:) this made me smile!!!:) lol great sense of humor.
Thank you, Sweetheart!! 😀
This actually explains quite a bit about you. I’m so glad you posted it! You really are so perfect I don’t want to like you as much as I do! You’re so damn likable though! Unfair!!! I would even stretch it to call you lovable! You have absolutely captured my heart with your honesty, integrity, humor and classic beauty! I hope one day we are besties. I will be reduced to stalking you otherwise!
Bahahahaha!!!! You are the absolute best! Thank you so much, honestly, your words make my heart so very happy! 🙂 No need to stalk me, you can be my bestie anyday. 😉
Love all the pictures!! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Hi! I actually share the same name (and profession) as you do! I found that funny and just thought I should share. 🙂 I found you by accident actually, and just wanted to let you know that I think your photographs are beautiful and inspiring.
