TBT Camping in Zephyrhills, FL: Cameron’s Newborn Session

Little Camping Cameron

Cameron’s Mommy and Daddy requested a newborn session that involved camping and a tent. They both love the outdoors, as well as camping. I took the challenge and ran with it. I could have bought a doll-sized tent or even photoshopped a tent into the photo, but I decided to go with something a little more “wild”.

Living in Florida, my yard has its share of sticks from the old oak trees that sway in the wind. I was able to gather enough sticks to begin making the skeleton for my newborn-sized tent. A little twine, hot glue, moss and knit fabric later- wala!  I was so happy with how it turned out and so thankful Cameron’s Mommy & Daddy trusted my vision. 🙂

(Seriously, I have the best job ever). Sleeping soundly, he looked like he totally fell asleep while being gently rocked by the waves of the lake. Who better to keep him company than his trusty, little schnuggly fish.  hehe

Growing up, I had a love for the arts; from visual to performing. Throughout college I would sell my artwork and was commissioned to draw charcoal and graphite portraits for friends and loved ones. For the photo below, I busted out my brushes and painted a peapod plant using watercolors. In Photoshop I  then added Cameron all snchuggled in the peapod his grandmother had knitted and ‘hand-brushed’ shadows and highlights to help him meld into the photo. jenn carroll photography, jenn carroll, newborn photographer, newborn, dade city, dade city newborn, zephyrhills, zephyrhills newborn photographer, zephyrhills baby photographer , baby, tampa photographer, tampa baby photographer, tampa newborn photographer, baby, photographer, composite photography, whimsical, composite, unicorn magic, woods, jungle, sleeping baby, flotaki,

Cameron is now a little over a year old. It’s hard to believe more than a year has passed since I took these photos. I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Sweetface several times throughout the year though. It is always such a wonderful feeling to watch my newborns grow up and reach milestones. I feel so blessed to be able to capture their growth for their parents and families to hold on to for years to come. <3

Octopus Hugs & Unicorn Magic,
Jenn
